xMUX-9000 Statistical Multiplexer System
The xMUX H.264/MPEG-2 statistical multiplexer application controls the variable bit rate (VBR) encoding processes of system encoders and maximizes the number of channels per transport stream while ensuring consistent picture quality.
The xMUX frame-by-frame analysis algorithm expertly optimizes bit-rate allocation per encoder to increase data bandwidth utilization. Furthermore the xMUX-9000 may operate in encoder groups while maintaining constant bit rates at each statistical multiplexing group output.
