Patrick Harshman Dr. Harshman joined Harmonic in 1993 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in May 2006. In December 2005, he was appointed Executive Vice President responsible for the majority of our operational functions, including the unified digital video and broadband optical networking divisions as well as global manufacturing. Prior to the consolidation of our product divisions, Mr. Harshman held the position of President of the Convergent Systems division and, for more than four years, was President of the Broadband Access Networks division. Prior to this, Mr. Harshman held key leadership positions in marketing, international sales, and research and development. Mr. Harshman earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and completed an Executive Management Program at Stanford University. Carolyn V. Aver Carolyn V. Aver joined Harmonic on June 1, 2010 as Chief Financial Officer. From 2002 to 2007, she served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Agile Software Corporation until its acquisition by Oracle Corporation. From 1998 to 2000, Ms. Aver was the Chief Financial Officer of USWeb/CKS until its merger with the CKS Group. She was the Chief Financial Officer of ParcPlace-Digitalk from 1993 to 1997 until its acquisition. From 1984 to 1993, Ms. Aver was the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Autodesk. Ms. Aver began her career with Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young), and earned her CPA in 1986. She obtained a B.S. in Accounting from California State University East Bay. Matthew Aden Matthew Aden joined Harmonic in October 2007 as Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Service. Mr. Aden was previously Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Customer Operations at Terayon Communications, a manufacturer of broadband systems, from July 2005 to July 2007. Prior to Terayon, Mr. Aden was at Motorola/General Instrument from 1984 until July 2005 and held a variety of positions in executive sales management. Mr. Aden holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska. Shahar Bar Shahar Bar joined Harmonic in 1999 and was appointed Vice President of Corporate Development in June 2008. He is responsible for identifying, analyzing and pursuing new video markets and associated acquisition targets that complement and drive Harmonic's growth throughout the world. Mr. Bar's experience at Harmonic includes in a variety of roles in engineering, marketing and management including Director of Satellite and Broadcast markets and Director of On-Demand solutions. Prior to joining Harmonic, Mr. Bar held various positions at Rafael, a defense industry corporation, including Senior Project Manager and Engineering Manager. A Cum Laude graduate of the Technion, Israel's Institute of Technology, Mr. Bar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and an MBA. Nimrod Ben-Natan Nimrod Ben-Natan joined Harmonic in 1997 and was appointed Vice President of Product Marketing, Solutions and Strategy in 2007. Mr. Ben-Natan initially joined us as a software engineer to design and develop our first-generation video transmission platform, and in 2000, transitioned to product marketing, solutions and strategy to develop the digital video cable segment. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Ben-Natan was employed at Orckit Communications Ltd., a digital subscriber line developer. Previously, Mr Ben-Natan worked on wireless communications systems while he was with the Israeli Defense Signal Corps. Mr. Ben-Natan holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University. Charles Bonasera Charles Bonasera joined Harmonic in October 2006 as Vice President, Operations. From 2005 to 2006, he was Senior Director-Global Sourcing at Solectron, a leading global provider of electronics manufacturing services and supply chain solutions. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Bonasera held various key positions in outsourcing strategies, commodity management, supply management and supply chain development at Sun Microsystems. Neven Haltmayer Neven Haltmayer joined Harmonic in December of 2002 and was appointed Vice President Research and Development in November 2005. Prior to November 2005, Mr. Haltmayer was Director of Engineering of Compression Systems and managed the development of Harmonic’s MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoder and DiviCom Electra product lines. Between May 2001 to 2002, Mr. Haltmayer held various key positions including Vice President of Engineering and was responsible for system integration and development of STB middleware and interactive applications while at Canal Plus Technologies. Mr. Haltmayer earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Ian Graham Ian Graham joined Harmonic as Vice President for EMEA Sales & Services in May 2008. In this position, he is responsible for Harmonic’s sales and technical services in the EMEA region. He brings to Harmonic more than 13 years of experience in broadband video, voice and data delivery. He joined Harmonic from Motorola's Home & Networks Mobility division, a broadband business with both wireless and wireline network technology, where he held senior positions in sales management including Vice President of Motorola Sales & Services Inc, EMEA. Mr. Graham holds a BA in Public Administration from Hallam University. Peter E. Hilliard Pete Hilliard joined Harmonic Inc. in October, 2008 and brings over 20 years of executive Human Resources leadership experience. Previously, Mr. Hilliard was Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Services with Agile Software Corporation from 2002 until acquired by Oracle in 2007. Prior to Agile Mr. Hilliard served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Administration with internet infrastructure companies Metromedia Fiber Network, Inc. and SiteSmith, Inc. and was Partner & Vice President of Client Services with consulting firm 54th Street Partners, LLC, where he led strategic engagements with clients such as Webvan, Borland Software, BeVocal and SiteSmith. Prior, he held senior executive HR roles with explosive growth company, Boston Market, Inc. Mr. Hilliard also serves on the Board of Directors with enterprise solution service provider Metaverse Mod Squad, Inc., and on the Advisory Board of the consulting firm, Compinsense. Jim Marino Jim Marino is Vice President of North America Sales at Harmonic, responsible for domestic cable and telco customers. Mr. Marino brings over 14 years of Broadband Industry sales experience having started his career in 1995 with Scientific-Atlanta and joining Harmonic in 2001. He also spent six years with ADC Telecommunications holding various key account positions. At Harmonic, Mr. Marino has held positions including Director of Sales for the Cox Communications account, Southeast Sales Director, National Account Manager and Regional Sales Manager. Mr. Marino holds a BS in Finance from Penn State University and a MBA in Finance from Georgia State University. David Price David Price is Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Communications at Harmonic Inc., where he is responsible for pioneering Harmonic’s leading position in digital video broadcast, distribution and IP-based delivery technologies. An experienced speaker, he has presented at many conferences throughout the world. He has over 24 years experience in the telecommunications industry and is currently Vice President of the MPEG Industry Forum. Mr. Price was selected in 2003 and 2004 as one of the "Euro 50" by Cable & Satellite Europe. Originally, an electronics engineer on the design team of the world’s first CAT scan system, he graduated from CIT with a Fellowship MBA and has an Honors Bachelors degree in Cybernetics, Instrument Physics and Mathematics. Shimon Shanor Shimon Shanor joined Harmonic as Vice President for Strategic Market Sales as a result of the acquisition of Scopus Video Networks where he was Vice President for Worldwide Sales since 2007. Prior to that he served as Scopus’ Assistant Vice President for Sales in the Asia Pacific region where he was instrumental in the company’s penetration into Japan and India, for developing and generating new strategic accounts as well as creating new business opportunities in South East Asia. Prior to this position, Mr. Shanor was responsible for strategic marketing and business development in the USA as VP Business Development USA. Before that, he was Director of Strategic Marketing at LevelOne Communications’ Switching Division. Mr. Shanor has an Executive MBA from the Polytechnic University and a B.Sc. from the Jerusalem Technical College. He served in the Israel Defense Forces for a decade reaching the title of Chief Engineer in the Intelligence Corps. Raymond Tse Raymond Tse was appointed Vice President of Asia Pacific (APAC) Sales in 2006. In this position, he is responsible for Harmonic’s sales and technical services in the region. Mr. Tse joined Harmonic in 2000 as Regional Sales Director in Hong Kong. In 2003, he was appointed Regional Director for the APAC region. He brings to Harmonic 20 years of sales and management experience in Asia Pacific markets. Mr. Tse has successfully identified and developed business opportunities, and led high-performing sales and support teams throughout his career. Prior to joining Harmonic, Mr. Tse held various sales and regional management positions with Simplex, Antec, General Instrument and Johnson Controls. Mr. Tse holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde and B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Hong Kong. |
